FEEDER CABLE ASSAMBLY

FEEDER CABLE

Feeder Cable is a coaxial transmission line that carries high frequency (RF) signals between base stations, repeaters, communication equipment and antennas. It is designed to minimize losses in high power transmitting and receiving equipment, and consists of various specifications considering installation location, frequency band, and insertion loss.

● SYSTEM FLOW

Base station/equipment transmission

Signal generated from base station or RF equipment

Transfer Feeder Cable

Feeder Cable minimises loss of transmitted high frequency signals to antenna

Antenna Transmission

Signal released wirelessly via antenna

Same reverse receive flow

Receive signal → antenna receive → Feeder Cable → equipment input
● feature
  • Different specifications (1/2", 7/8", 1-1/4", etc.) Selectable by distance and frequency
  • Low insertion loss characteristics; The higher the frequency, the thicker the cable is required
  • UV and water-resistant coating structure resistant to external environment
  • Keep communication quality by suppressing unnecessary reflection signal (RF return loss)
  • Adjacent signal interference prevention with high shielding rate
● SPEC.
Installation Location BTS Equipment ↔ Antenna (Rooftops, Towers, etc.)
signal band 0 ~ 3GHz 6GHz or higher, depending on the application
Cable Type 1/2", 7/8", 1-1/4" LMR-400, LMR-600
Loss of insertion @ 900MHz About 3.5 dB/100m based on 1/2"
Impedance 50Ω (Standard for Communication)
Current/Voltage No manual power Perform RF power transfer only
shielding effect Approximately -90 dB or more Q ≥ 40
durability High temperature, UV Available in vibrating environments for years
Connectors N-Type 7/16 Combination with DIN, SMA, etc

C-PAD(Capacitive Pad)

The C-PAD is a touch sensor module that detects capacitance and recognizes user touch in the vehicle's smart key system. It is primarily embedded inside the door handle and is responsible for sensing user contact and transmitting signals to the ECU.

● SYSTEM FLOW

User Contact Detection

Capacitance changes when hands touch C-PAD

C-PAD signal generation

Converting the detected change into a signal and outputting it

ECU Receipt

ECU receives the corresponding signal to activate LF antenna or proceed with certification process

response

Smart key response and door open
● feature
  • Contactless touch sensing without mechanical buttons
  • Durable and waterproof/dustproof structure suitable for vehicle exterior environments
  • Design degrees of freedom ↑ (Curved surface, chromium plating can be installed)
  • Various Sensitivity adjustment and filter function Inbuilt

LEADWIRE

LEADWIRE is a wiring cable that physically connects various electronic components, including the ECU, sensors, antennas, and c-PAD within the vehicle. Reliability and environmental resistance of the connection are important and are usually applied to vehicle connectors, shields, and insulation.

● SYSTEM FLOW

C-PAD ↔ ECU Connection

Send touch input signals
